Book Blog
My name is Jack P. the fiction book that I read is Michigan Mega-Monsters by Jonathan Rand. It is a mystery and part of the Michigan Chillers series. I picked this book because it looked really freaky and interesting. My favorite part of this book is when they are trapped in the castle and a Mega-monster made it into the control room. Then Rick aimed lightning at the castle and the wall fell down on top of the Mega-monster. I enjoyed this book because it was really scary and I like scary books. At the end of every chapter the reader pulls you into the book. So if you like monsters, spiders, and people flying then you should really read this book.

OUR CLASS
We had an absolutely wonderful time early in the fall spending some time outside teaching our kindergarten buddies new recess games they could play outside at Georgetown Elementary School. Then of course we had to get our FIRST class photo of the 2009-2010 school year.
OUR FIRST WRITING CELEBRATION
Our first writing celebration was a such fun! We broke into small groups and shared our final drafts of our personal narratives. I enjoyed traveling group to group listening to stories read out loud by their authors. It is always wonderful to hear the excitement of kids sharing their personal moments with each other. <3
READING WORKSHOP
I love to catch a student absorbed in a book. Kyle is just reading the jacket of this book getting his brain ready to dive into the beginning of this story. He didn't need to read the jacket to know he was going to read this book. The cover alone "hooked" him, but he always reads the synopsis on the back of his books to get a feel for what to expect.
