Miscellaneous:
The Art Show is the week of April 22nd. Check Mrs. Brouwer’s Blog for more information.

Don’t forget: 6th Grade Course Selection sheets are due Friday, April 26. Try to get these in as soon as possible and don’t wait until the last minute.

Mark your calendars: May 7th is the camp meeting for parents. More info to come about that soon.

And finally: All of the Safety members are being rewarded for their hard work and dedication this year by being treated to a West Michigan Whitecaps game.  The game will take place May 20th at 11am.  A paper with all the important information will be coming home today.  If any parents would like to go, it is $9.50 for a ticket and there is room on the bus to get there.

Math: In Math, we have begun doing our unit on multiplication. This includes double digit, triple digit, exponents, money, and decimals.  Look for a test to come next Wednesday or Thursday.

ELA: We have launched a new writing unit.  The kids will be learning the steps involved in writing a persuasive essay.

Social Studies: We are wrapping up our unit “Life in Colonial America,” and we will be assessing next week.  Next we will be studying events leading up to the Revolutionary War.

Science:
In science we have begun our unit on Adaptations.  We will be learning about Physical (structural) Adaptations and Behavioral Adaptations and how these interact with the environment to insure survival.
