Classroom Happenings! 10/8-10/12

Thank you for bringing your child out to the game Friday night. We had a great time cheering the players on as they entered the field. We had so much fun!
Miscellaneous-
  • Math Homework- MobyMax Mondays through Thursdays for 5 minutes
  • October 12- Early Release, 12:15 dismissal
  • October 23- Turkey Trot @ 5:00
  • October 31-Halloween Party @ 1:15-2:00. A lead parent is organizing this year’s party. Only parents that are working at the party are to come to the classroom to help. Also, background checks are required for all volunteers. Thank you for your understanding as we try to keep parking issues to a minimum.

If for some reason you signed up and are not needed for our Halloween Party we will need ALL volunteers for our December Party.

Writing– Finishing up our True Stories

Reading– Great job reading 100/week. I will keep track to see if your child is turning in their homework logs to earn a Book it! Pizza from Mrs. Vandenburg for the month of October! 🙂

Word Study– We are practicing daily routines sorting words by features and learning 5 new “no excuse” words.  We are wrapping up learning long “a” patterns. Each Friday we will focus on another spelling feature and be introduced to 5 new “no excuse” words for third graders. Spelling assessments will be given throughout the year here at school to mark progress.

Math– Multiplication and Division with 0-5, 9 & 10.

A review sheet went home last Friday for tomorrow’s test. I will be pulling small groups today for some last minute review.
