Classroom Supply List


I hope the summer is finding everyone happy and healthy. Below is a post of suggested school supplies for the upcoming school year. Please check back occasionally as I will be updating our classroom blog to best serve our classroom in the upcoming school year!

Have a safe and fun Fourth of July!

Supply List Needed for the Classroom That Will Assist You

  • (2)  writing composition books
  • (5) pocket folders:  red, purple, yellow, green, blue (plastic folders work best,               but are not required)
  • (2) spiral notebooks (wide rule)
  • (1) 3-ring binder (1 inch)
  • (2) dry erase markers for your whiteboard work (the thin ones work best)
  • (2) glue sticks
  • extra pencils
  • colored pencils or crayons
  • small (5×8) pencil box to store your supplies
  • scissors 
  • highlighter

Each Student Should Bring One Each for the Classroom to Share

  • Clorox Wipes (any disinfectant disposable wipes)
  • Box of Tissue

Highly Recommended Item

  • Gym shoes to be left at school for Physical Education class

 

 

Welcome to Third Grade!

WELCOME TO THIRD GRADE!   We are going to have such an amazing year together!  I can’t wait to meet you and come together as a class! :)

While you are here, be sure to sign up for email updates. You can sign up in the upper right corner of this blog where it says “Subscribe by Email.” Once you enter your email address and register, you will receive notifications of my blog posts.

It is important that you subscribe to the class blog. Our class blog will be the site for information about school supplies, curriculum, assessment, and much more.  A school supply list will be posted on July 1.

What’s Coming Up- Week of April 17

Miscellaneous:

  • Your children are working so hard on the M-STEP! Please take a few minutes to congratulate your child for his or her efforts.
  • We have one more testing day this week:, Wednesday, April 19
  • On Thursday, April 20, we will be providing the fifth-grade students with a pizza lunch to celebrate their completion of the M-STEP.
    • Two pieces of pizza will be provided for each student. If students wish to have a side item or a drink, they are welcome to bring something from home.
    • Please remember that Georgetown is a pop free school.
  • Next Tuesday, April 25, we will be visiting Baldwin Street Middle School. One of the highlights of the visit for students is that they get to eat lunch in the cafeteria there.
    • A letter was sent home last week regarding how you can make sure that your child has money in his or her lunch account for that visit.
    • Students are welcome to bring their own lunch that day, but they will be responsible for carrying and keeping track of it.
  • April and May are very busy months for families of fifth-grade students. Click here for a list of upcoming dates.

What’s Coming Up-Week of March 27

Miscellaneous:

  • Health movie on March 30.
  • Once we return from spring break, fifth grade will be taking the M-STEP on the following dates:
    • Tuesday, April 11
    • Wednesday, April 12
    • Thursday, April 13
    • Tuesday, April 18
    • Wednesday, April 19
    • Thursday, April 20
    • Friday, April 21
    • Please avoid making appointments that would cause your child to miss school on these dates.
