Fridays with Josh!

Here is our class last Friday. That tall fellow in the middle is Josh Hoekstra, the varsity football player coming in our classroom on Fridays.

Tomorrow evening, if your kids are able to join, will meet me at 6:30 on the north side of the field on the grass. We have talked about the location as a class so they know how to find me. 🙂 Please note the time of 6:30. Yesterday’s email was incorrect.

If you haven’t had a chance to respond whether or not your child might be attending the event, you may now by clicking on this link. Hudsonville Vs. Rockford

Here are a few more fun moments we have shared with Josh!

Team Whitten-Fight Like a Wolverine

The father of one of our students (Kylie Whitten, Grade 5) has recently been diagnosed with a cancer recurrence.  This has been a devastating diagnosis for the father, Torey Whitten, and his family.  His first battle was long and difficult — and now he is looking ahead to battle #2.

Kylie is determined to do everything she can to help her father and also raise money to find a cure for cancer.   As a school family, we are supporting Kylie and ask you to support her as well.

Kylie’s project: WRIST BRACELETS for $5.00 each.  The image below shows the bracelets — a tribute to her father who is a big U of M Fan and full of courage and strength.

The sale will run Monday, May 2 to Thursday, May 5.
