One of our Georgetown students is collecting toys for Toys For Tots. Ainslee Tomaszewski has a goal of collecting 155 toys and we have received 62 as of Monday. These toys will go to families who are having difficulty affording gifts this year.
Please bring your unwrapped gift to school by Thursday, December 8!
The father of one of our students (Kylie Whitten, Grade 5) has recently been diagnosed with a cancer recurrence. This has been a devastating diagnosis for the father, Torey Whitten, and his family. His first battle was long and difficult — and now he is looking ahead to battle #2.
Kylie is determined to do everything she can to help her father and also raise money to find a cure for cancer. As a school family, we are supporting Kylie and ask you to support her as well.
Kylie’s project: WRIST BRACELETS for $5.00 each. The image below shows the bracelets — a tribute to her father who is a big U of M Fan and full of courage and strength.
The sale will run Monday, May 2 to Thursday, May 5.
Thank you so much for the FANTASTIC party that you organized and contributed to today. It was wonderful seeing so many of you being able to come and enjoy the kids today. Also, a special thank you for your candy donations to our military serving overseas. 🙂 The generosity of this community always makes me so proud to say, “I live in Hudsonville, Michigan.”
Trick or treat!
