Informational Presentations- First Post

Happy New Year!  I hope this post finds everyone rested and happily reflecting on the holiday season. I’ve missed the kids and am excited to see them in a couple of days.

This is the first of 4 posts that I will be adding in the next few days celebrating the hard work the kids have done researching, writing, revising and editing, and finally publishing their nonfiction informational writing. Later this week the kids will be presenting in front of the class what they have learned while using their Keynote presentation as a visual aide.  These videos are their work with minor editing by me for the sake of publishing. I tried to keep the integrity of what the kids wrote by only minimally changing punctuation and slideshow format issues. Enjoy! They have worked tremendously hard on this process. 🙂

Beach Day

Bright-orange-happy-sun-wearing-sunglassesTomorrow we will be finishing up with science for the year. We will be taking our test on forces and motion; a study guide came home today.

The third graders got to pick the theme day for Friday, and they have selected BEACH DAY! Shorts, flip-flops, sunglasses, hats, etc. are acceptable. No bathing suits, please.
