A Little Sunshine!!
It’s amazing how a little sunshine can lift your spirits! Not only was Sunday’s sunshine an energy booster, but seeing the entire class together was such a treat last Wednesday!
This week I’d like to try something a bit different. I am going to give you a Sign-Up link to schedule a smaller group Zoom meeting. This way you have time options and I’m hoping more kids have more time to share. Zoom Meeting Sign Up
This week begins phase II of remote learning. We have determined the essential standards to focus on to be ready to enter 4th grade.
- For math, some material will seem like a review, but still challenging because concepts are hard to master as a 3rd grader. Then in a few weeks, the concepts will be new when fractions are introduced.
- ELA also will have many things that seem familiar, but again concepts that are challenging for 3rd graders to do well.
- Social studies will focus on more project-based learning as we continue to learn about our state of Michigan.
Each week we will provide a Week at a Glance. The purpose is to show you what assignments have been created so you can best plan how to maneuver through the week. Even though I have Google Classroom set up on a Monday-Friday format, your children may choose to do the work however it works best for your family. I will do my best to get all the assignments loaded for the entire week, but technology often doesn’t cooperate. 😬
As always remember I am here to support you. Don’t put undue stress upon yourselves or your children. Do what you can, breathe, and know it is okay to let some material go!
Below is the Week at a Glance. It also will be posted at the top of the “Classwork” section in our Google Classroom.
