Looking Ahead

Campfire_2Wow! I can hardly believe we are a few short days away from 5th grade camp.  I told the kids I would attach a packing list if they wanted to start gathering things together this weekend. Camp Packing List

Also, I want to invite parents to drive up and visit their kids at Camp Pinewood and join in the fun. You are welcome to come and spend the day, or part of a day. We only ask that if you plan to join us for a meal that you bring in $7.50 to cover the cost of that meal. You may always bring your own meal if you prefer that option. 🙂

If you do decide to drive up, PLEASE email me so I can meet you at the lodge and take you to the A_Colorful_Cartoon_Group_Kids_At_Camp_Royalty_Free_Clipart_Picture_100812-022110-597053activity where your child is.  Here is a schedule of our time at camp: Camp Schedule

Look for a Reminder/Checklist to come home on Monday with your child.

The class had been working extremely hard and have earned another reward!!  This time we will be playing board games on Friday afternoon.  Please, if you can, send in any board game that kids can play in pairs or small groups.  We particularly like games that involve strategies and language/spelling skills, but any age appropriate game is fine.  NO ELECTRONICS this time. 🙂

MichiganAlso, remember to support our MICHIGAN coin war.  The rules are easy.  The coins will be counted by dollar amount (not weight).  If Team U of M wins, then Team MSU will have to come dressed in Blue and Maize for the day (what a wonderful day that will be:) and vice versa. The students will also get to wear the winning color of their team on the designated day.

Donations will go toward All For Books sponsored by Scholastic.
