Trek for Tech!

walkathonThis year’s annual Walk-a-thon is rapidly approaching. This year’s theme is to “Trek for Tech”. Our school goal is to raise $15,000 and focus on technology needs with the usage of funds. The Walk-a-thon is a our largest fundraiser of the year, and we would love to have every child participate in raising funds for the school.
A fundraising packet/envelope has already been sent home. Please consider helping us raise funds for classroom needs. The Walk-a-thon is taking place onThursday, September 26, 2013  RAIN OR SHINE!
9:45 – 10:30 a.m.: Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade
10:45 – 11:30 a.m.: 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade
All donation forms and money is due back to school on Monday, September 30, 2013.
PRIZE INFORMATION
Each student who raises $25 or more will receive a blue cowbell with the Eagles logo in late October.
The top money earners in the school get a pool party with Mrs. Reagan in May!
The top earning classroom will get a limo ride and lunch at Pizza Ranch!!!
The top earning student in each grade will get a pizza and desert lunch from Mrs. Reagan!
Other various prizes will also be awarded too.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST
If the entire school can raise $15,000 or more, Mr. Rob will take on Mr. Bowen, Mr. Kooiker, Mr. Bialochowski, and Mr. Gort in an epic sumo wrestling challenge for the school’s viewing pleasure! If this doesn’t motivate you to help raise money, I’m not sure what will! I’d pay good money to see these crazy guys go after one another!

Walk-A-Thon!!!

We are getting close to our annual Walk-A-Thon Event!  This is our single money raising activity for our Parent Club.

We have set a goal of $25 for each child to raise….and understanding these tight economic times, know that we will take pennies, nickels, dimes and any amount you are willing to contribute.  The money we raise goes for the support of family/child activities as well as all school events and materials that support learning in many ways.

The walking times and color assignments are as follows:

  • Wednesday, September 29th: 9:45 – 11:15: Morning ECSE, PK, K, 3rd, 4th and 5th Grades
  • Thursday, September 30th: 1:45 – 3:15: Afternoon ECSE,  Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade

COLOR:

  • Grade PK/K and ECSE: RED
  • Grade 1: PURPLE
  • Grade 2:  YELLOW
  • Grade 3:  BLUE
  • Grade 4:  GREEN
  • Grade 5:  ORANGE

Walk-A-Thon

Greetings parents and students and welcome to the 2010 – 2011 school year! The 2010 Walk A Thon kicks off today….and this is  our primary fund-raiser for our school.  This translates into:  WE WON’T ASK YOU FOR MONEY TO SUPPORT THE STUDENT/FAMILY/LEARNING ACTIVITIES FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR~

For those who wonder what your money would fund, the list includes (and is not limited to) the following:

  • Parent Child Activites (Mother/Son; Father/Daughter)
  • Secret Santa Shop/School Carnival
  • Field Trips (one trip per student is funded every year)
  • Books for our school library
  • Framing for our school art collection (student art work)
  • PE/ART/Music Support
  • Teacher Appreciation Week
  • If funds are available, stipends for classroom learning materials.
  • And….much, much more!

Our goal is to have ALL students participate and for each to strive for a personal goal of raising at least $25.

To make participation easy for everyone, we are holding this event during the day– students can walk, jog, or run around the course.  All participants will receive water and a nut-free/milk free snack after the event.

This year, the schedules are as follows:

Wednesday, September 29th: 9:45 – 11:15

  • Morning ECSE, PK, K, 3rd, 4th and 5th Grades

Thursday, September 30th: 1:45 – 3:15

  • Afternoon ECSE,  Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade

All participants who collect over $25 will win a special prize and will be entered into a raffle for more exciting prizes which include a Wii, a Great Wolf Lodge package, a Hudsonville Gold card and a  Pool Party Afternoon at Mrs. Reagan’s Pool! (And…even though Mrs. Reagan is typing this and is really biased, the pool party was a blast!)

Also, the class who collectively raises the most money will be treated to a pizza party!

Here are some days to remember:

  • September 13 – Kickoff of the event
  • September 28th – Completed donation forms and money due back to the school
  • September 29th and 30th – Walk A Thon takes place
  • Mid October – Prizes are awarded
